The guest man brought a new 3 points to Borussia (M)

Borussia (Monchengladbach) came third in the Bundesliga after a tough 1-0 win over Bayer (Leverkusen). Thus, after the 18th round, the foals remain at 3 points from the second Bayern (Munich). Alassane Plea realized the only goal in the 37th minute. For the French striker, this is the tenth hit in his debut campaign in the German elite and which is even more valuable for his team - eighth on a foreign field.

The players of Leverkusen missed many positions and deserved at least a point. Debut as their coach made Peter Boss, who replaced Heiko Herrlich.

Borussia`s former manager (Dortmund) bet on his favorite 4-3-3 with Kevin Volland at the top of the attack and Karim Bellarabi and Leon Bailey on the wings. The young hopes of the Bundestica, Julian Brandt and Kai Havertz, were in the midfield. Dieter Hecking came out with the same scheme as Lars Schindel was at the front in the company of Alasan Plea and Thorgan Hazard.

In the first part, the Aspirins were more active in the front, but they did not have a clear chance. Sumer reflected all distant shots. In turn, the guests took advantage of a good situation in the 37th minute when Jonas Hofmann brought Plea into position and with his right foot he hit the goal.

Minutes before the break, Leverkusen`s guard Lucas Hradecky saved a secure second goal when Nico Elvedi hit his head.

The hosts started much better in the second half and quickly created two dangers after the centering. In the 54th Hauvertz even managed to get himself against Jan Sommer, but the goalkeeper just took his ball.

After another eight minutes, the young midfielder was again in perfect position for a goal but shot weak and straight into the hands of Sumer.

The 67th minute came when Bailey demanded a penalty kick, but the judges were clear that the goalkeeper had not touched it. Two later, and Fole y was desperate by the Swiss watchman, who easily wiped his shot. Gradually, Bayer`s players started defending themselves and defeated Hoffmann in the 81st centimeters by 2-0. By the end the defense in white did not crack and all three points went to Borussia`s account.

In the next round, Bayer will visit Wolfsburg, and Gladbach will argue with Augsburg at home.
