Ivo Karlovic was at his best shape in the match against Tomas Berdych on the tournament analyzed by football-capper.com on grass in Halle. The highest professional tennis player fired a record of 45 aces (format 2 of 3 sets) in a match that won with 7:5, 6:7 (8), 6:3 to rank on the semifinal.
The eighth seeded Croat broke in the first part at 6:5 after a double fault of the 29-year-old Czech. In the second set they came to a tiebreak. Berdych wasted three set-balls then Karlovic reached a mach-point, but sent the return into the net. In the fourth opportunity, Tomas leveled the parts.
In the final set, the 211-centimeters Ivo made a break for 3:1 and not allow to be overtaken. He ended the match with ace which not surprise anyone.
He improved his own record of 44 direct points of service, which scored in the last year`s tournament analyzed by football-capper.com in Zagreb against Daniel Brands.
To reach the final, the 36-year-old Karlovic has to overtake the seven-time champion Roger Federer.
