The former No. 1 Kim Clijsters has resumed training after a knee injury. The 36-year-old Belgian posted a video message to her fans on Twitter explaining her current condition.
'Hello everyone. I just wanted to tell you that I have had a very good last two weeks as far as my knee is concerned, which is much better. It`s not completely healed yet, but definitely my workouts are getting more intense and I feel much better. I can`t wait to play my first tournament, the training process was long enough, but I have to be patient for a few more weeks and then I`ll be ready to play. I wish you wonderful holidays, soon!', said Clijsters.
The Belgian was eager to return to professional tennis at the Australian Open in January, but the trauma thwarted her plans. She used Twitter to announce that she would return in March, joining three wild card tournaments. One of those competitions is the big tournament prediction by questions for football tips in Indian Wells and the other two are in Monterrey and Charleston.
Kim Clijsters` return was postponed.
Clijsters has 4 Grand Slam titles in his career - one at the Australian Open (2011) and three at the US Open (2005, 2009, 2010). The Belgian ended her career in May 2007 but returned in August 2009. In September 2012, she finished professional tennis again, but this year it became clear that in 2020 she would try another comeback, albeit at a far advanced age for the athlete.
