Utah replaced the Wasatch with the robbers in the vote for the name of the club. Smith Entertainment Group conducted a series of polls to choose the name. Initially, there were 20 options on the list. Then it was reduced to 6 names: Venom (poison), Blizzard (blizzard), Yeti (yeti), mammoth (mammoth), Hockey Club (hockey club, HC), Outlaws (robbers). The options for Yeti, Venom and Blizzard rejected the US Patent Department.
In the short list of the new stage of voting, the hockey club from football goals video clips Utah, Utah Mamont and Utah Wasatch were included. The last name was replaced by Outlaws (robbers).
As notes The Athletic, Outlaws and Mammoth were recognized as not having conflicting trademarks that could interfere with registrations.
The name HC was denied in an incomplete solution, since the sign is geographically descriptive. However, the fact that the name is already used by the command makes it possible to try to fix it.
Voting will continue during the next three home games of the team: against Columbus, St. Louis and Philadelphia.
