Mourinho denied the rumors for a tax evasion charges against him

The Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho denied that he has to give the Spanish authorities 3.3 million euros in the form of taxes. Yesterday, information appeared in Spain that there is an investigation against the Portuguese expert for hidden revenue for 2011 and 2012 when Mourinho was the head of Real Madrid. The Special One, however, claims that he paid taxes at a rate of 26 million euros in Spain, and so far he has not been informed officially that the Spanish public prosecutor`s Office has taken any action against him.
`Jose Mourinho so far has not received any notification in accordance with the published news. Up to date, neither the Spanish tax authorities nor the Prosecutor has contacted Jose Mourinho or his advisors, who care about those issues.
Jose Mourinho, who lived in Spain during the period between June 2010 and May 2013, paid over 26 million euros in taxes, equivalent to 41% of the resulting revenue. In the year 2015, he accepted the adjustments made by the authorities for the period 2011-2012 year. Then he signed and agreements with authorities for the amount due for 2013.
For its part, the Spanish Government issued a document certifying that Jose Mourinho has an established tax status and has agreed to the amount of all his tax obligations.`, reads the official statement released by the Mourinho`s representatives.
